The people were so welcoming, friendly, and wonderful teachers. The type of job was extremely fun and entertaining because I was working with event planning and marketing. It was a different experience of marketing. The county was my product to market, not a tangible good.
What I wish was different
The only thing I wish would have been different is that it was a paid internship.
Advice
Be willing to learn and devote yourself. It will not go unnoticed.

Finance Intern

What I liked
The internship was structured to give me experience in all divisions of the Finance department. The schedule each day was different depending on what kind of meetings or experiences were planned for that day. The culture was very friendly and allowed for a great personal and educational experience.
What I wish was different
There is nothing that I wish had been different about the internship, just that I could've been there longer!
Advice
Step out of your comfort zone and get a new experience! Government finance is challenging and fun and the connections you'll make at an internship will last you.
